breakfast between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM and proceed up the
Napa Valley to their first wine cave, art exhibition and
barrel tasting. Guests arrive and walk to the wine caves
while admiring the vast art collection throughout the winery
grounds. Carved deep into a rock knoll near Calistoga, this
90 minute cave tour features petit verdot, cabernet franc,
malbec and merlot. Constructed c.1888 and hand-dug by
Chinese migrants the second, private cave tour features the
winery’s famous zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon.
Immediately following the tour and barrel tasting, guests
are welcome to enjoy their gourmet lunch, freshly prepared
by a local delicatessen. The final stop on the Napa Valley
Cave Tour is in the Stag’s Leap District of the Napa
Valley. Truly one of the most extensive cave facilities in
Napa Valley, guests will enjoy an elegant, formal wine
tasting deep within the dramatic Cabernet Caves to compare
barrel samples of the winery’s finest cabernet sauvignons
and bottle-aged reserve wines. A personal wine educator
guides guests through the barrel-to-bottle samplings
